In scientific research and university education design is used as a synonym for “research plan”.
The design describes under which conditions the material, the person, and the behaviour will be examined.
Every step, each alternative will be described. A previously very well stipulated research design is necessary to make afterwards scientific conclusions from the observed research measurements. The research of Gregor Mendel regarding the heritable qualifications of peas is a good example.

It is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations and modes of expression, including music and literature. The meaning of art is explored in a branch of philosophy known as Aesthetics.
