Alain Bieber
Artistic Director

Alain Bieber has been the artistic director of NRW-Forum Düsseldorf since April 2015. Bieber has been curating solo and group exhibitions all over Europe since 2004 on topics such as street art, post-internet art, web and media art, political art, gaming and photography. He has also initiated numerous cultural projects, including the weblog “rebel:art” in 2004, the International Sticker Award in 2005, the video magazine “OH!” in 2007, and in 2009 the magazine club and virtual kiosk “GuteSeiten” and the exhibition project “Parasites - illegal exhibitions”.

Bieber studied rhetoric, literature, sociology, communication and political science from 1999 to 2005 at Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and the Institut d’études politiques in Paris. Before being appointed artistic director of NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, he worked in the culture department of the European television network ARTE in Strasbourg, where he was head of the creative lab ARTE Creative. Prior to that, he was an editor at the magazine ART in Hamburg and a lecturer at several universities in Germany and France.

Jennyfer Lapuc
Finances & events

Since July 2018 Jennyfer Lapuc has been working as commercial assistant and event manager for the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf. After completing her training as an industrial manager, she worked in various areas as an accountant, photographer and senior sales consultant.

Sarah Wulbrandt
Head of Press | Press Officer Kunstpalast and NRW-Forum

Sarah Wulbrandt has been responsible for press communications at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf since June 2023. After studying theater, film and media studies, she was press officer at the Albertina Museum and the Albertina Modern in Vienna for many years before returning to Germany in March 2023 to take over as head of the press department at the Kunstpalast.

Alina Fuchte
Deputy Head of Education

Alina Fuchte studied art history and cultural and social anthropology in Münster and Amsterdam (B.A.) and cultural analysis and cultural mediation in Dortmund (M.A.). During her studies she worked as a freelance mediator at various institutions. Afterwards she completed a traineeship in the department of cultural education at the Kunstpalast. In April 2020, she took over the project management at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf for nextmuseum.io, a cross-institutional platform for swarm curation and co-creation. Since April 2023, she has been deputy head of Cultural Education.

Bernadette Färber
Cultural Education

Bernadette Färber studied liberal arts, art history and philosophy in Nürtingen, Bologna and Stuttgart (M.A.) She has worked as a freelance illustrator, stage painter, author and mediator, is involved in schools and in helping refugees and gives lectures on the history of architecture as a guest lecturer at the THD Deggendorf. She has been working in the field of cultural education at the NRW-Forum since 2015.

Sonja Wunderlich
Exhibition Management | Project Manager NRW-Forum Düsseldorf

Sonja Wunderlich completed her master's degree in "Staging the Arts and Media" at the University of Hildesheim. In addition to her trainee at the Ludwig Forum Aachen, she curated and realized various exhibitions and projects at Kunstverein Hildesheim, Kunstmuseum Bonn or PACT Zollverein, medienwerk.nrw, among others. Since 2019, she works as exhibition manager and project manager at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf.
