Stephen Shore als DER US-amerikanische Inspirator der berühmten deutschen Becher-Klasse? Mit dieser spektakulären These untersucht die Ausstellung “Stephen Shore und die Neue Düsseldorfer Fotografie” des NRW-Forum Düsseldorf erstmals ein bedeutendes Kapitel der jüngeren Fotogeschichte: Den transatlantischen Einfluß auf die Fotografie der 1970er und 80er Jahre.

Stephen Shore as THE American Inspiration for the Renowned German Becher Class? With this spectacular thesis, the museum NRW-Forum Duesseldorf/Germany is focusing for the first time on an important chapter in the recent history of photography: the transatlantic influence on photography in the 1970s and 1980s. Right at the heart of this chapter is a friendship between three artists that was forged in New York in the year 1973.

Stephen Shore: fuente de inspiración para el reputado alemán Becher Class? Con esta espectacular tesis, el NRW-Forum Dusseldorf se está centrando por primera vez en un importante capítulo de la historia reciente de la fotografía: la influencia transatlántica en la fotografía de los años setenta y ochenta. En pleno corazón de este capítulo encontramos la amistad que tres artistas forjaron en Nueva York en el año 1973.

Stephen Shore: LA inspiration américaine pour le célèbre cours de l’allemand Becher? Avec sa thématique exceptionnelle, la Düsseldorf NRW-Forum se concentre pour la première fois sur un chapitre important de l’histoire récente de la photographie: l’influence transatlantique sur la photographie dans les années 70 et 80. En plein coeur de ce chapitre, se joue une amitié entre trois artistes, forgée à New York en 1973.
