EDEN offers a break from the smartphone by means of the smartphone. Visitors are invited to embark on a virtual journey to the heavenly Garden of Eden – to paradise – and to focus entirely on the mental and physical experience. This digital wellness experience is intended to allow mind and body to relax. The work takes a satirical swipe at the digitalisation of the wellness industry and the peculiar modern phenomenon of the appification of spirituality in the smartphone.

In her works, Christiane Peschek ventures a glance at our time from the future. What will future generations find when a large part of human activity today is based on screen touches and automatic voice control? Where can we find spirituality in a digital world? She tries to make the invisible traces of our engagement visible and tangible.
