Vincent Wechselberger is a photographer and sex worker in Berlin. In his work, he focuses on marginalised groups, especially the queer community. Friends and community are at the heart of his work. He photographs his queer friends and himself in moments of joy, intimacy, sadness and ecstasy. His work has been exhibited in various cities across Europe. Following his first publication, HOLES, his photo book READY, which deals with queer sex workers, was recently published. Both photo series can be seen in the exhibition.
Wechselberger talks to co-curator Judith Winterhager about his artistic work, social shame, stigmatisation and empowerment.
