30 Years Of Fiftyfifty Street Magazine

April 4 – April 29 2025
The street magazine fiftyfifty is turning 30.
Over 10 million copies have been sold during this time, and innovative projects have been realised, such as the GuteNachtBus (together with vision:teilen), "Underdog" for the dogs of homeless people, and Housing First, which has already helped over 100 people off the streets and into flats.
Above all, however, fiftyfifty is also a lobby for homeless people, caring for them and getting involved – often in uncomfortable ways and mostly in the public eye:
30 years and still going strong.
A charity gallery serves to finance homeless assistance, selling donated works by Gerhard Richter, Rosemarie Trockel, Thomas Ruff and Imi Knoebel, to name but a few.
To mark its milestone birthday, fiftyfifty is presenting paintings, murals, sculptures and a film by street artist Klaus Klinger in the NRW Forum with the exhibition "Was tun" (What to do).
Klaus Klinger has shaped the political mural art of the past decades like no other. His art in public spaces can be found in many cities around the globe, not least in his adopted home of Düsseldorf. Klaus Klinger has supported the homeless charity fiftyfifty from the very beginning and has repeatedly contributed to it with benefit editions, multiples and original works.
The grand opening of the fiftyfifty anniversary exhibition will take place on 4 April 2025 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
